The Annual Meeting of the Membership for the Columbus Grove Community Association has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Grove House at 16601 Sonora Street, Tustin, CA 92782 unless the COVID-19 pandemic necessitates a virtual meeting over Zoom. 

 

The primary purpose of the Annual Meeting will be to elect members to the two (2) open seats on the Board of Directors for two (2) year terms. If you are interested in running for one of the two (2) seats, please complete and submit the Candidacy Form no later than Friday, March 4, 2022, by end of day. All applicants must meet candidate qualifications in order to be eligible and have their name included on the ballot, which will be mailed on/ by April 11, 2022. Each month, the Landscape Committee, General Manager, and O'Connell Landscape's account supervisor and irrigation technician conduct a walkthrough to create a punchlist, identify and organize future landscape projects, track progress on pending replacements, select new monument color as needed, etc.

The Parking Committee meets every other Tuesday to review parking permit applications, extended safelist requests, and other matters pertaining to vehicle storage and parking.

Executive Session is closed to Members. Civil Code requires the following business be conducted in a closed session: litigation, legal advice, payment plans, delinquencies, foreclosures, disciplinary hearings, personnel issues, formation/termination of contracts, and disability requests.

 

Homeowners are encouraged to attend Open Session at 6:15 PM.

This meeting is open the Membership. Homeowners wishing to address the Board are encouraged to attend. An Open Forum is held at the beginning of each meeting to give members 3-5 minutes each to address the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors has designated Saturday, March 26, 2022 for the Annual Community Garage Sale.

 

As a reminder, Rules & Regulations, Section 2.2 does not permit garage or yard sales within the community; however, based on feedback received, the Board has made an exception to this rule on one designated date to give those who are interested the opportunity to do some spring cleaning, sell their belongings, and de-clutter their homes.

 

Columbus Grove will not be formally sponsoring this event, so all signage, advertising, and set up will be the responsibility of those who wish to participate. The Association will allow participating residents to display directional signage in the Common areas to direct traffic; however, all signage must be picked up by the conclusion of the event at 1 pm. In addition, it is preferred that signs be on a "wired H stake," and no thick sign posts are permitted. Please do not puncture or damage irrigation lines when installing signage, and note that any damage to property may be assessed back to you.
